iox2 is a versatile and comprehensive software package for data acquisition and processing, specifically adapted to meet the needs of pharmacology and toxicology studies. iox2 enables researchers to acquire, analyze, view, and store data generated during an experiment.

At the heart of iox2 is a library of analysis modules (analyzers) for real-time signal processing. All analyzers are derived from algorithms widely accepted and validated by the life science research community.

Each analyzer produces a list of predefined parameters. In addition, new parameters can be created.

Analyzers for pulmonary studies include:

• respiratory flow (rf) analyzer - for freely moving subjects in whole-body plethysmography or restrained subjects in head-out configuration of double-chamber plethysmograph.

  resistance/compliance (rc) analyzer - analyzer for sedated subjects in whole-body plethysmographs…

  double-chamber respiratory flow (dcrf) analyzer - analyzer for conscious restrained animal in a dual-chamber plethysmograph.
